Dedicated to Service and Quality

American Surveying & Engineering places the needs of our Clients before all else. Since 1978, we have developed and nurtured relationships with both public and private agencies. We were founded in 1978 as a premier surveying firm, the surveying firm that transportation agencies trusted for accurate and timely data, and we have increased our footprint in the industry by adding to our skill set Engineering Design, Subsurface Utility Engineering, Hydrographic/Bathymetric services, Land Acquisition Services including Appraisals, Negotiations and Relocation Services, and Environmental Services.

ASE has built relationships with all Regions and Districts of the Illinois Department of Transportation. We have worked in almost every Region or District in Illinois. Our most predominant repeat professional services performed in Regions or Districts are Region 1 District 1, Region 2 District 2 and District 3; Region 3 District 4.  We are uniquely aware of subtle changes in requirements from District to District.                      In 2014 ASE was hired by the Central Office to perform a comprehensive re-write of the Statewide Survey Manual. That Manual is in use today as the Standard for all surveys for the Department of Transportation.
ASE has performed as both a prime and subconsultant on numerous major Tollway projects. We routinely work with many other consultants on Tollway projects by providing Subsurface Utility Engineering, Right-of-Way Engineering, and Survey Services.
